Comfort Zones: Join The 2%

2016 looks like a good year to step out and experience the magic happening outside my comfort zone!

Everyone’s familiar with the term “comfort zone”.

It’s that special place where you feel safe and comfortable, and nothing (potentially unpleasant) surprises you. It’s waking up at the same time every morning and arriving at work and completing the same tasks and going home at the same time and eating the same food and going to bed at the same time, and it’s boring.

It’s that special prison that you painstakingly build for yourself because trying new things is scary and something to avoid.

I’m being a hypocrite again.

I think I spend the majority of time in my comfort zone, safe behind my computer doing the same tasks I always do. It’s the same at home too. I come in, eat my dinner, read a book, and go to bed.

I’m in my comfort zone. It’s safe and easy – and mind-numbingly boring.

I know I’m not alone…
